Annual scholarships for students of Korean heritage studying full-time in the U.S., run by region. Schools in New York fall under the Northeastern Regional Chapter.

Why it matters

Eligibility is explicitly 'regardless of citizenship status', and the FAQ confirms international students may apply, which is rare for heritage scholarships.

The apply page says: students with a Korean heritage studying in the United States regardless of citizenship status (including Korean nationals). The FAQ confirms international students are eligible.

Eligibility

Students of Korean heritage enrolled full-time in 2027–28 as high school, undergraduate or graduate students at a U.S. school, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Apply only in the region where your school is located (New York = Northeastern). If extra funds are available, non-Korean students may qualify for some awards. Financial documents are required.
