Need-based grants for student organizers who are active in movements for social and economic justice, at any accredited U.S. college, community college or trade program, part-time or full-time.

Why it matters

The FAQ says U.S. citizenship is not required and that non-citizen applicants need neither a Social Security number nor a student visa.

Who can apply

U.S. citizensGreen-card holdersDACA / TPSUndocumented studentsInternational students (F-1 and other visas)Refugees and asylees

From the official FAQ: Is US citizenship required? No, but applicants must have participated in activities in the United States and be planning to enroll in an accredited program in the US. Non-citizen applicants do not need to have a social security number or student visa.

Eligibility

Enrolled (or applying) in a degree, certificate or trade program at an accredited U.S. institution, undergraduate or graduate. You must already be actively organizing for progressive social and economic justice (aspiring activists are not considered) and have financial need. Strong preference for people whose activism is in the U.S. and who plan to keep organizing here.
