A full-time, seven-month leadership program (late August to early April) that uses New York City as the classroom: weekly seminars, four work placements across government, business, labor and nonprofits, and closed-door interviews with city leaders.

Why it matters

Coro says it does not discriminate based on citizenship status and places Fellows inside New York institutions, a realistic launchpad for graduating seniors shut out of citizenship-restricted public-service fellowships.

Who can apply

U.S. citizensGreen-card holdersDACA / TPSRefugees and asyleesInternational students (F-1 and other visas)

The national Coro page says: Coro does not sponsor visas of any kind. However, Coro does not discriminate based on citizenship status. Candidates must be U.S.-based or hold status allowing them to be in the U.S. for the whole program. F-1 graduates would use OPT. Undocumented applicants should ask Coro New York directly.

Eligibility

Recent graduates and early-career professionals with a bachelor's degree conferred before the program starts. Current seniors graduating by spring 2027 may apply. Coro looks for commitment to ethical leadership, openness to many perspectives and stamina for a rigorous full-time program. Two steps: a written application, then an invited full-day Selection Day in New York.
